Day 2: Monday Morning Short Run

Today was day 2 of my training run. Today’s plan was to run a bit faster than my usual pace, but for a shorter distance (about 4 or 5k). So I set off with the intent to go flat out for the entire distance.

While I was running faster than usual, I was not able to get in a proper rhythm. The deep breaths from the first run were replaced by shallow breathing this time around. Due to this shallow breathing, felt as if I was not able to run upto my potential.

Now have to ensure that hence forth whenever I run fast, I also focus on my breathing. Proper breathing will help me in going faster and longer. I’ve planned for my next run for Wednesday.
